About Gideon Alper

I write this blog because when you bat for the other team, you play with different rules.

Legal information for same sex couples is hard to find. There's lots out there for straight couples, but gay couples have unique legal needs. That's why I publish the Gay Couples Law Blog, focusing on how the law works for gay families and relationships.

This isn't a political blog. There's plenty of other people out there doing a good job advocating for gay rights. In the meantime, same sex couples have to deal with the law as it is. I want to help them to do that.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia, with my dog, Samson. I'm a third year law student at Emory University and will be graduating in May. To read more about my background, education, and honors, take a look at my LinkedIn profile.

I also publish the Atlanta Divorce Law Blog to help make Georgia divorce and family law easier to understand.
